Short answer
Great Britain won the final round robin ahead of Canada. The United States won bronze and Czechoslovakia finished fourth.
What happened
Great Britain won the 1936 tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, ending Canada's run of four straight Olympic golds. It was the first team to stop Canada from winning Olympic gold.
Because the Olympic tournament also counted as the World and European Championships, Britain became the first team to win all three titles in the same year. Canada took silver and the United States bronze.
