What happened
The NHL again stayed out in Beijing 2022, after first planning to take part. Games were played at the National Indoor Stadium and Wukesong Arena from February 9 to 20.
Finland went unbeaten and won its first Olympic gold, beating the ROC 2-1 in the final. Slovakia won its first Olympic medal by beating Sweden 4-0, and Slovakia's Juraj Slafkovský was named MVP and led the tournament in scoring.
